Born and raised in Portsmouth I grew up around the family practice of optometry. In the summers especially I recall running around the old office and meeting patients. I completed my undergraduate degree from Miami University with a B.A. in Botany and an emphasis on a pre-optometry curriculum. While in school I became active in many pre-professional clubs and did several hours of shadowing Optometry practices. I love helping, interacting and learning from others. My educational background and my desire to help others led me to apply to optometry school. I attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in Philadelphia, Pa.  While there I served as class president and was active in the political action committee and various other organizations. While obtaining a world class education I tried to grow as a leader and learn new skills. I knew I would be returning to Portsmouth, Ohio upon graduation and tried to obtain as much leadership experience as possible in order to use that to better serve my community. After school I moved back to Portsmouth with my lovely wife Kelly who has a master’s in Industrial Design. I am extremely fortunate and thankful to have a family business that I have joined. I am a fourth generation Optometrist and I currently practice with my father. Our business was established in 1916. As an optometrist I practice primary care optometry, provide comprehensive eye examinations, including the diagnosis, treatment and management of diseases and disorders of the eye and ocular adnexa. I regularly co-manage ocular manifestations of systemic medical conditions, including but not limited to diabetes, hypertension and arthritis. I love trying to help dry eye patients and fitting contact lenses and glasses. Our office offers a large selection of high end to affordable optical and Sunglasses.  While serving my patients I try to positively impact the greater Portsmouth area through better education of eye and systemic health. I always take time to answer any questions my patients have and make sure they leave with a better understanding of their visual system. I love meeting new patients and talking with established patients that have seen my dad, grandpa and great grandpa. My goal is to use my platform of optometry to better the Portsmouth area.
